Job Description /n /n The Final Inspector is responsible for performing routine checks, tests, gauging and instrument inspections of finished goods. Separation of acceptable and unacceptable product. /n Responsibilities /n /n /n /n - Perform final inspection to verify process and product quality. /n /n /n /n /n - Inspect drums internally and externally with provided light source /n /n /n /n /n - Records test information accurately, on the computer and in neatly written shift reports /n /n /n /n /n - Works closely with front line, operators, and production supervisors to advise when adjustments are needed. /n /n /n /n /n - Notifies supervisor when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted. /n /n /n /n /n - Follows procedures for containments and placing defective or contaminated drums on HOLD /n /n /n /n /n - May be required to assist with testing on samples and special situations /n /n /n /n /n - Must perform all duties in the department in a safe manner and consistent with all company safety rules /n /n /n /n /n - Develops and demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of established quality policy, procedures, and instructions. /n /n /n /n /n - Various other duties and special projects as assigned. /n /n /n /n Requirements /n /n /n /n /n /n - High school graduate or equivalent /n /n /n /n /n - Use and understanding of precision measuring instruments and gauges, specifications, charts, and diagrams /n /n /n /n /n - Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills /n /n /n /n /n - Must be able to read, write and speak English /n /n /n /n /n - Ability to operate a Forklift in a safe manner, or ability and willingness to learn /n /n /n /n /n - Computer skills are required (familiarity with windows and Microsoft office suite) /n /n /n /n /n - Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping /n /n /n /n /n - Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision /n /n /n /n Physical Requirements /n /n /n /n - Ability to lift 55 lbs. /n /n /n /n /n - Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range. /n /n /n /n /n - Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination and motor skills. /n /n /n /n /n - Must be able to stand, balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time. /n /n /n /n /n - While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. /n /n /n /n EEO Statement: /n /n /n Mauser Packaging Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
