Golden Bear Packaging Inc., a leader in sustainable and innovative packaging solutions, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering and Maintenance team. This role is crucial in ensuring the operational efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and systems, focusing on minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. This includes tasks such as conducting routine inspections, executing preventive maintenance plans, and responding to emergency breakdowns. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver who combines technical skills with a keen attention to detail to support our commitment to excellence and innovation in packaging. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems arising on production equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean work environments. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to manufacturing equipment. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding Proficiency in using tools and repair equipment Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Certification from a recognized trade school in industrial maintenance or mechanical systems is a plus.
