Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This opportunity is for a licensed Special Education
Teacher to support K-12 students in a therapeutic day school
setting in Chicago, IL. This full-semester contract role involves
working onsite 37.5 hours per week to deliver specialized
educational services to students who require more intensive
behavioral support than can be provided in traditional public
schools. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction
and behavioral interventions based on IEPs for students requiring
therapeutic-based education Collaborate with a multidisciplinary
team to address students academic and behavioral needs Monitor and
document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed Maintain
a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning
and growth Qualifications and Experience: Valid LBS1 License
required Professional Educator License (PEL) required Experience
working with students exhibiting complex behavioral challenges
strongly preferred Ability to effectively communicate with
students, families, and staff Commitment to collaborative teamwork
and student-centered instruction Location: Chicago, IL onsite
