Job Description:
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity
Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records to
ensure accurate documentation of conditions and procedures
Educate and query providers to enhance diagnostic specificity and
ensure proper coding
Maintain accurate records of review and query activities within the
CDI software system
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Five years of experience as an RN or two years as a Clinical
Documentation Integrity Specialist
Understanding of risk-adjusted payment methodologies and
professional coding
Experience with ICD10-CM, CPT, HCC, and HCPCS coding is
preferred
