Women’s Services. \n\n\n RN Manager ICU Full Time Days Position
Summary \n\n\n This role provides leadership and support to the
senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all \n nursing and
other designated patient care functions/services within the
hospital organization. The role \n will assume responsibility for
assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and
evaluating \n nursing practice on a unit level. Role assumes 24/7
responsibility of Manager’s assigned areas. The role \n is
accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and
appropriate nursing care, competency of \n clinical staff, and
appropriate resource management related to patient care. \n The
Nurse Manager is responsible for efficient day-to-day operations of
the department and optimum use \n of resources to maximize
productivity and minimize costs. Communicates openly and
effectively with \n Director to ensure patient care standards are
followed and assists Director as needed \n Job Responsibilities \n
• Coordinates and directs the daily patient care operations of the
unit. \n • Maintains the performance of the operational aspects of
a designated unit(s) while providing \n mentoring and leadership
support to the unit(s) staff \n • Delegates appropriate tasks to
appropriate personnel, consistent with legal and professional \n
guidelines and departmental standards. \n • Demonstrates knowledge
and educates staff concerning the philosophy, objectives, policies
and \n procedures of the unit, department, and hospital. \n •
Identifies appropriate internal controls of department; provides
mechanisms to monitor and enforce \n compliance. \n • Demonstrates
team player mentality with highly effective team building skills.
\n • Fosters positive relationships and maintains clear
communication with all customers including, but not \n limited to
staff, physicians, patients, and visitors. \n • Provides
leadership, support by serving as a resource to staff, and provides
direct patient care when \n required. \n • Meets job-specific,
department-specific competencies, as well as any others determined
by nursing \n leadership. \n • Knowledgeable and ensures compliance
of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements. \n • Adheres to and

and patient therapeutic \n equipment/machines. \n • Demonstrates
knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures. \n
• Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality. \n • Works
varying work hours, including 2nd and 3rd shifts, weekends, and
holidays, as needed. \n • Role model of Target 100 standards. \n •
Performs related duties as required \n \n Education: RN with
current applicable state licensure / permit. \n Professional
Requirement: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing \n
Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing. \n \n
Experience: Required - Nursing experience plus 1 year of
progressive management experience in a \n hospital environment as a
leader or full-time charge nurse/related position. \n \n
Certifications: \n • BLS - Certification required upon hire for all
nursing positions. \n • ACLS - Required within 3 months of hire for
the following: Emergency Dept RNs., ICU RNs, \n Medical Response
Team RNs, Stepdown RNs, Med/Surg/Tele RNs, All Float Pool RNs, Same
\n Day Surgery RNs, Operating Room RNs, PACU RNs, GI Lab RNs,
Interventional Radiology \n RNs, Special Procedures RNs, L&D
RNs, Cardiac Care RNs, Cardiac Rehab RNs, Cardiac Cath \n Lab RNs.
\n • CPI - Required within 3 months of hire for the following:
Emergency Dept. RNs, all Bartlett Float \n Pool RNs, Memphis Float
Pool RNs that will float to Behavioral Health and/or Emergency
Dept., \n and all Behavioral Health RNs. \n • PALS – Required
within 3 months of hire for the following: Emergency Dept. RNs, All
Bartlett \n Float Pool RNs, Memphis Float Pool RNs must have if
they will float to Emergency Department. \n • NRP – Required within
3 months of hire for L&D RNs, Mother/Baby RNs and NICU RNs \n
