Schedule: 100% FTE, day shift. Monday – Friday with start times
between 8:00AM – 9:00AM and end times between 4:30PM – 5:30PM. No
weekends or holidays. You may be eligible for up to a $2,500
sign-on bonus. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

experience to UW Health. We are seeking a Specimen Control and
Receiving Tech – Cytology to: - Receive specimens and research kits
into the laboratory, check for correct labeling, enter tests into
Laboratory Information System, process specimens, and load them
onto instruments or direct to appropriate work station,
technologist, or storage area. - Basic instrument maintenance
(temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing,
mailing, faxing). - Interact daily with pathologists, physicians,
technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and

School Diploma or equivalent Required - Some post-secondary
education in a healthcare or a related science field that may
include course work in Medical Laboratory Technician,
Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Scientist
degree/certification Preferred Work Experience - 6 months
experience in lab, healthcare, customer service or data entry role
Required - 1 year healthcare or lab related work experience
Preferred Licenses & Certifications - Medical Laboratory Assistant
(MLA) certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or
