Lakeview's CNO will assume accountability for the management of nursing services. The CNO directs and supervises professional and paraprofessional level employees by coaching, teaching and providing leadership. Key responsibilities include: Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of activities that directly affect the nursing department and overall patient care, to include developing education and competencies required by staff. Assist in maintaining the department policies and procedures in accordance with clinical standards and State and Federal Regulations. Other regulatory compliance will include review/investigation of incident reports, review/evaluation of medication errors and participation in p&p development and all survey processes. Direct oversight of shift team, including communication, coaching, performance management, and issuance of corrective actions as needed.
