Exceptional opportunity for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of three years of experience to support a busy acute care hospital environment. This contract position is situated in Elgin, SC, serving a facility with 119 staffed beds and multiple operating rooms. Precision, flexibility, and comprehensive surgical knowledge across various service lines are essential, as the role includes floating between service lines and occasional coverage at sister facilities. Shift schedules offer a choice between 5 shifts of 8 hours (6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.) or 4 shifts of 10 hours (6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.), providing balance between consistent hours and extended days. On-call responsibilities include weekend coverage on a rotating basis, with participation in holiday rotations. The hospital maintains a modern work environment supported by Epic charting systems and free parking, easing daily logistics. Key Qualifications and Requirements: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with national certifications BLS and NBSTSA (NCCT certification is not accepted) At least three years of surgical technology experience; first-time CSTs are not eligible Radiation badge for OR procedures is required and must be provided independently Readiness to rotate between multiple surgical service lines and sister facilities Ability to accommodate a block scheduling format as available Commitment to on-call weekend and holiday rotations within a 6-week schedule Role Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environment across five operating rooms Support surgical teams efficiently and respond to dynamic OR demands Ensure accurate procedure setup adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines Participate in emergency response protocols during hurricane season as needed About the Location:Elgin, SC offers a welcoming community with a balance of suburban comfort and access to healthcare innovations.
