MANUFACTURING - ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL Job Description: This role
will design and implement processes and build Food Quality programs
and put in place checks and balance procedures to ensure
Manufacturing Operations are in compliance with best practices for
food safety and quality including the oversight of Manufacturing
Testing Techs for the Elk Grove, IL. This role is also responsible
for Food Defense Control and for regulatory compliance and risk
management throughout the Manufacturing facilities. This role will
is located in our facility in Elk Grove, IL Responsibilities :
Update and maintain product specifications and have knowledge and
experience of Microbial Testing processes. Establish annual
objectives for the department and participate in management review
meetings and technical committees. Represent Batory in public
events and meetings with customers as requested and is the primary
contact for all regulatory actions involved in Manufacturing.
Manage the Food Safety and Compliance programs for the
Manufacturing facilities, including maintaining reviewing and
approving current and new policies and procedures and facilitating
the implementation of new procedures, practices and policies
including the development and implementation, and maintenance of
Quality Management Systems and HACCP Programs. Lead the development
and implementation of Food Safety Fundamentals and the Food Safety
Plan as outlined in the BRC system and prepare the organization for
FDA, BRC and other audits, while maintaining inspection reports and
records. Develop, maintain, socialize, and enforce food safety,
food defense and food fraud requirements including a supplier’s
requirements manual. Lead the development of training programs
related to food safety and quality assurance in Manufacturing. Lead
Emergency Incident Team and Issues Resolution including
Recall/Withdrawal. All other duties and responsibilities as
directed or assigned by senior management., Qualifications: A
successful track record including 10 years of experience consulting
in or managing the Q&FS area of a large food company;
experience working in an ingredients company preferred. Strong
leadership skills and ability to motivate and empower individuals
to succeed. Clear track record of delivering results in high passed
environment. Ability to build teams across different departments
and hold teams accountable for performance. Experience managing all
the aspects of the GFSI schemes and certifications such as FSSC
22000, BRC, SQF. Experience implementing and managing FDA Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)and cGMP, Hazard Analysis and
Critical Control Points (HACCP)and HARPC, and reassessment.
Experience implementing systems and procedures for the proper
reporting and data analysis of food safety and quality issues and
experience in implementing corrective actions and preventive
measures to ensure corporate food safety and quality assurance
issues are addressed. Experience in administering and managing
emergency response programs and resolutions Experience implementing
a TQA food supply program to insure value to the company and
clients. BS required, MS preferred, in food science or related
field; 7 years relevant food industry experience required. Any of
the following are a strong plus: Certified Internal Auditor for a
GFSI scheme. HACCP, HARPC FSPCA – PCQI Certified. Batory Foods in
