Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an
organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve
as Permanency Administration Manager. Subject to management
approval, this position will formulate, establish, and implement
policies, procedures, rules, and regulations regarding the
Department's permanency services and reunification efforts.
Additionally, the position will provide high level oversight of
Administrators who oversee Subsidy Support and Post Adoption
Services and will plan, develop, and implement techniques and
protocols to effectively monitor and regulate programs. This
position provides a great opportunity for someone who is passionate
about children and interested in providing leadership of the
Department's efforts to find permanent homes for children and youth

families of Illinois. Essential Functions Serves as Cook County and
Northern Region Subsidy Support Operations Administrator. Serves as
full line supervisor. Manages, develops, and implements special
projects, studies, and initiatives related to adoption services and
community-based operations. Confers with management and
administrative staff on the feasibility of recommended division
policies. Serves as Department spokesperson regarding adoption
services and proposed legislation impacting adoption programs.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably
within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum
Qualifications Requires an MSW or a master's degree in a related
human services field. Requires four years of progressively
responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR
five years of progressively responsible administrative child
welfare experience with a master's degree in a related human
services field. Preferred Qualifications Five years of professional
experience managing or conducting guardianship and adoption
services. Three years of experience supervising professional staff.
Three years of management experience providing oversight of a
regional or statewide professional program. Three years of
professional experience conducting program planning. Two years of
professional experience conducting staff training. Three years of
professional experience serving in a spokesperson capacity for a
program area within a public or business organization. Three years
of professional experience developing and implementing policies and
procedures. Conditions of Employment Requires ability to pass a
background check. Requires ability to travel in the performance of
duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license. The

Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and

Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive
